Charlie - The lost bear

 Charlie, a Gund bear that had been bought as a christening gift, went missing and my young son James was inconsolable.  I rang the company who sent me a replacement and we successfully made it look less new before giving it to James who was delighted to be reunited with his teddy.

 A few days later we went to the corner shop and there on the counter was the real Charlie that a customer had found and handed in.   “Look mum, there’s my Charlie.  How’s it got here?” he screeched.

It took a fearful lot of explaining, I can tell you.
