My Favourite Keepsake - My Little 'Teddy' by RebeccaPosted on 03 March 2012 |
My favourite keepsake - 'Teddy'

Probably the oldest of my childhood keepsakes is 'Teddy'. Although I have spent many an hour thinking of lovely endearing names for teddy he has always reverted back to his proper title, just 'Teddy'. Although wearing a little green dress made from one of my husbands pairless socks, trying to be feminine, he still remains 'he'
Teddy was given to me by my Granny when I was three, I don't really know how old he was then, she said it had been my Dad's. He was offered along with a larger one but little 'Ted' appealed the most to me, just the right size for carrying around, dressing up and making tiny beds in shoe boxes for.
Over the many (45 years) Teddy has joined me on every journey of my life, not just little trips to the meadow for picnics under the sheltering oak tree close to my home, but long far away adventures to Greece, Malta and Peru, taking up valuable space in a well crammed rucksack - but I wouldn't have been without him.
He is my special friend, and always will be.
